sit still

Sit still. Be patient for what is to come.  Being in the unknown is very uncomfortable and the feeling you have is that you’re running out of time, or going to miss something when in reality, you’re not missing anything or going to be late for it.

When we put our hands into things out of our control, we tend to set the process off track and that causes major delays.  We are meant to rest, not worry and sit still most times.  We are human, we are not made to carry so much on us.  Whatever is for you is for you.  Still do the work and preparation but don’t beat yourself up to rush or figure things out.

If you are meant to find another job, God will lead you there very easily.  Don’t worry your head trying to always have something to find and do.  You miss the messages and the lessons along the way that are beneficial on your journey and in the future.  Take it easy and be patient.

drink more water

Tomorrow is the first day of summer!  If you think you’re too late for that summer body, you’re not too late.  You may not be able to drop all of the weight that you want but it’s pretty easy to tone up.  I know I have made a post before on taking care of your health and working out but just a reminder not to be discouraged if you think it’s too late to start.

Water is key this season.  You need to stay hydrated and the more water you drink, the less bloated you will be as well.  Most of us carry all this water weight because our body is trying to contain the little bit that we have.  So more water, less bloating.  That water weight is what we retain physically and you will be surprised how much you will drop with putting more water in your body.
I know water doesn't taste its best but if you could add some lemon, mint or lime to it, that will work. You can also mark your container and set a goal of how much you need to drink at a certain period of time.  Most of us with poor will power work well with schedules and being timed.

We have 6 more months left out of the year. Get yourself on a schedule and toned up now because during that holiday season, you want to give yourself some breathing room for damage and not go so far backwards after making so much progress.

One year anniversary

Today Wear It Well Wednesdays makes a year old! Not just the blog but the organization itself has its first-year anniversary today!  What a blessing that is for this organization to make it through its first year.  We have grown so much and made great progress that many organizations can’t say they have made in their first year.

This year gives hope to those who think they can’t make a difference.  Your vision may not be completely clear but passion and determination will help that vision clear up along the way.  Things will start to manifest into something you have never dreamed of.  Don’t go into something thinking it’s too late or people will not follow.  It’s about you!  When you do what you want, people don’t have a choice but to respect your hustle and drive that they want a piece of what you have.  It’s never too late to follow those dreams.
Time is time and it goes by so don’t be intimidated that something may take too long to accomplish.  That time is going to pass anyway so use it wisely and on something you’re passionate about.  Doing what you love gives your purpose and a reason to keep moving.

Happy 1 year anniversary or this wonderful organization! We will continue to grow and change lives one step at a time.

your vote counts

Mississippi Primaries were yesterday.  I hope everyone went out to vote!  Voting is very important as you all know and getting the chance to be involved with the changes that are going on in our government is our right.

There was a time when not everyone in our country could vote.  It left certain voices out that needed to be heard and we were left with people in office who didn’t have the same vision as those people did.  Now that we all have the right to vote, we have to exercise it!  Many women and men died so that everyone could have this right to have their voice heard.  Don’t take it for granted because you would want someone to vote for you especially when the right people that need to be in office are counting on us to give them the vote.

Also, don’t ever think your vote won’t count.  These small elections are the most important because they represent the state.  If the state is on our side, so will they be when the presidential election comes around.  I know you all know this information but our vote is needed.  If you didn’t cast your vote yesterday, make sure you cast it in the future.  It’s our duty and we want the best for us.

YOUR VOTE IS YOUR VOICE! LET IT BE HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR!
