To move up at work or gain the respect from coworkers and your managers is to take initiative.  Before being asked to complete a task, go ahead and do it if it needs to be done.  This shows that you are a leader and you care about improving the work place.  Taking initiative makes your coworkers view you as someone that can lead and handle certain tasks.  In this case, when choosing someone to be a part of projects or choosing to be promoted, you will be well deserving of it.

Take the little steps to maintain your main goal.  Many of us might not want to continue taking on other tasks than the ones required of us because there isn’t a reward or recognition for it.  Short term, you may not receive recognition or a pat on the back at the time but in the long run, it will definitely pay off.  Never get tired of doing the right thing because there is always someone watching you even when you do not realize it.  Take action!

mission accomplished

Two things I learned this week.  The first was that God will never leave you, no matter the mistakes whether good, bad, or ugly.  God will always bring you back to Him. The second was that, you will never part from your mission.  Even though you may get off track, God will detour you to make sure you get to where you are needed and meant to be.  Now, I have always known this, but I needed a good reminder this week.

Sometimes we think that we wasted so much time and made so many mistakes that it’s too late to fulfill our purpose, but it isn’t.  I have always thought that way, but knowing that no matter what direction I go in, without having the right directions, God will eventually put me where I am meant to be.
This tough season that we are in is nothing but training.  Just like our parents trained us growing up is the way God is training us up to walk with Him.  Don’t fail your lessons.  Keep persevering and don’t get discouraged when it doesn’t make sense.  You will get there right on time.

equanimity

We have so many qualities, how will you use this particular quality to make someone’s day?
My word is equanimity.  The word equanimity refers to an evenness of mind, especially in the face of stressful situations.  Delivering MAGIC service in every interaction is possible when we practice and master this quality within us.

Ask yourself what situations challenge your personal sense of equanimity.  Being aware of what “rattles” you is the first step toward controlling your response.  What opportunities will you have today to practice equanimity in your interactions? How will you choose your words, tone, and body language to make each contact so very important that every person wants to have another contact with you?
