We are all dealt different cards.  Because of different lifestyles, friends, family, financial situations, etc., it isn’t smart to be jealous of someone else or to want what they have.  You can want what others have to the point where God gives you your blessings and either you can’t recognize them or you’re never satisfied. It’s not what you have been wanting because you have been watching someone else.

Peoples battles and blessings will never look like yours because they weren't designed for you. Don’t get caught up in watching other people’s lives and miss your blessings while waiting on something that’s not for you.  This will leave you upset and confused on “why” certain things aren’t happening for you.

God wants you to be thankful and appreciative of what He does for you.  If you keep missing it, you’re ungrateful and it’s hard to do something for someone who can’t recognize the good in their own life.

You can hope and dream for certain things but make sure to change your perspective.  You can never enjoy what you have if your soul isn’t right. Appreciate what you have now so that you are conditioned to know how to appreciate the bigger things when it happens.  You’ll be ready for it.

she won't take no for an answer

Rejection… I have a serious problem when someone tells me “no.” I don’t know why but ever since I was young, no one could tell me no. Now when I was younger, that made me hard headed but as I got older, I’m glad that I’m hard headed and won’t take no for an answer. If I have my mind set on something and start imagining myself having something or doing something, oh, it will happen. Just because you get rejected by whatever it may be, it’s okay to feel some type of way about it because it’s going to push you to keep going. Keep going to prove them wrong or to end up in a good situation to gain that acceptance. Now I’m not saying to get angry and get revenge but let that be the fire up under, keep pushing because to you, it is what you want and you should have that. Just know that only you can get what you want.

Don’t let rejection turn you away and give up. Don’t take no as an answer and get what’s yours. Always…

Little reminder!!!  This past weekend, I saw the movie Acrimony by Tyler Perry.  It was a great movie too, although a little bit extreme.  But I picked out some pretty good messages throughout the movie.  Some of you want to see the movie and haven’t, so I won’t ruin it.

One of the biggest things that stood out to me in the movie was knowing how extremely important it is to treat everyone with respect.  Thinking it is okay that you disrespected a person because you think you won’t see them again is not true.  You will see them again one day and that one day, you may need them to help you.
This movie gave a great example that the way you handle certain situations and people may get you places or maybe not.

You may be at a horrible job and find out you got another position elsewhere and want to leave immediately and leave in a bad way.  That is not the way to go because, if your leave isn’t respectful or informative to your employer, you won’t be able to return if need be.  Or your current coworkers could end up being your boss down the line and they will not forget how unprofessional and rude you can be.

Make sure you don’t burn bridges because the way this life works, you may have to cross them again to get to where you need to be.  Be professional and nice ya’ll.  It may be hard but, it can save you some trouble in the future.

lost

Today, I was on my way home from out of town and had to take a detour due to a really bad accident.  I wasn’t worried about my phone being dead because I was headed straight home and didn’t need GPS but once I had to take the backway home, I got pretty nervous on how to get back in from this unfamiliar town.  I knew I would get lost!  On my trip home, I knew what direction I should be heading so I kept going.  Started to follow some cars that took the exit with me with the tag of the county I was headed to.  Anything that I could grasp to get home, I took it!
Later on, I realized that I was very unfamiliar with the passing towns and back highways but with continuing in the direction I was in, I started to see signs, then landmarks, and eventually the highway.  All I could think about was “Wow! This is where this back highway leads to!”  I know that sometimes we may be on our way home and get off track in an unfamiliar place but continuing in the direction and focusing on the correct signs along the way will show you exactly where you needed to be from the beginning.
This little detour may be longer and you may lack some help but it’s worth it because you know where different roads lead you.  No matter how much the enemy tries to detour you and make you get lost, you know your destination and with that drive, your other instincts will kick in to guide you.
