Today, I was on my way home from out of town and had to take a detour due to a really bad accident.  I wasn’t worried about my phone being dead because I was headed straight home and didn’t need GPS but once I had to take the backway home, I got pretty nervous on how to get back in from this unfamiliar town.  I knew I would get lost!  On my trip home, I knew what direction I should be heading so I kept going.  Started to follow some cars that took the exit with me with the tag of the county I was headed to.  Anything that I could grasp to get home, I took it!
Later on, I realized that I was very unfamiliar with the passing towns and back highways but with continuing in the direction I was in, I started to see signs, then landmarks, and eventually the highway.  All I could think about was “Wow! This is where this back highway leads to!”  I know that sometimes we may be on our way home and get off track in an unfamiliar place but continuing in the direction and focusing on the correct signs along the way will show you exactly where you needed to be from the beginning.
This little detour may be longer and you may lack some help but it’s worth it because you know where different roads lead you.  No matter how much the enemy tries to detour you and make you get lost, you know your destination and with that drive, your other instincts will kick in to guide you.
